Li Ming Hu
Li-Ming Hu (born June 22, 1987), is a New Zealand actress, artist, and musician. She is best known for playing Li Mei Chen in ''Shortland Street'', Gemma/RPM Operator Silver in ''Power Rangers RPM'', and Lisa Fong in the short film ''Take 3''. Biography Hu was born to Chinese-Singaporean immigrant parents in Palmerston North. After receiving her master's degree in history from the University of Auckland, she started her acting career at ''Shortland Street'' portraying Li Mei Chen, who was once described as "mean and cantankerous". Her character initially began as a medical student, who quickly graduated to doctor, and was known for her ambition and abrasive manner. After a three-year stint, Li Mei was killed off with a deadly virus. The Tokey Tones
The Tokey Tones are a band led by Scott Mannion, formerly of Auckland indie pop bands Polaar and Plasticene. The Tokey Tones are primarily a studio-based band, the other long-time key member being Li Ming Hu, who is more widely known for her role as Li-Mei on the long running New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. ''Kawa'' is a 2010 New Zealand film directed by Katie Wolfe originally titled ''Nights in the Gardens of Spain''. The film stars Calvin Tuteao as Kawariki. A coming out film drama, it is based on the novel ''Nights in the Gardens of Spain'' by Witi Ihimaera. Wassaic, New York
Wassaic is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Amenia, Dutchess County, New York, United States. Located in southeastern New York in the valley of the Ten Mile River, Wassaic is bordered to the east and west by mountain ranges. The name of the hamlet is derived from the Native American word ''Washaic''; "land of difficult access" or "narrow valley". However, Europeans found ready access by following the Housatonic River valley up from Long Island Sound and through the mountains along the Ten Mile River.
