Li Lin (prince)
Li Lin (李璘) (died March 14, 757), né Li Ze (李澤), formally the Prince of Yong (永王), was an imperial prince of the Chinese dynasty Tang Dynasty. He was a son of Emperor Xuanzong, and after the general An Lushan had rebelled against Emperor Xuanzong's rule in 755, Li Lin tried to occupy the region south of the Yangtze River and establish a separate regime, but was defeated and killed. Background It is not known when Li Ze was born. It is known, however, that he was the 16th of Emperor Xuanzong's 30 sons, and that his mother Consort Guo was the younger sister of the military governor (''jiedushi'') Guo Xuji (郭虛己). Consort Guo died when Li Ze was only a few years old, and Li Ze was raised by his older brother Li Sisheng; it was said that at night, Li Sisheng would hold Li Ze in his arms. Li Lin (李麟) (694–759), formally Duke De of Bao (褒德公), was a Chinese politician during the Tang dynasty, serving as a chancellor during the reign of Emperor Suzong — although he was commissioned by Emperor Suzong's father Emperor Xuanzong, not Emperor Suzong. Li Lin (; 31 October 1923 – 31 May 2003) was a Chinese physicist. She made important contributions to China's metallurgy, nuclear power, and high-temperature superconductivity programs, and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1980. Her father Li Siguang and husband Chen-Lu Tsou were also prominent scientists and academicians. Early life and education Li was born Li Xizhi () in Beijing on 31 October 1923, with her ancestral home in Huanggang, Hubei Province. Her father Li Siguang (J. S. Lee) was a renowned geologist and professor at Peking University, and her mother Xu Shubin () was a pianist and schoolteacher. Li Lin (; born 1961) is a Chinese biochemist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He served as director of the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences beginning in 2013, and was director of the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (SIBCB) from 2004 to 2009. Lin Li (; born 28 January 1986 in Guizhou, China) is a Chinese gymnast who specializes on the uneven bars. Lin Li started gymnastics when she entered elementary school in 1993. By 2002, Lin Li was selected for the National Team. Since joining the national team, Lin has competed at many prestigious championships such as the 2003 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2004 Olympics and 2004 World Cup Final. Lin Li is the 2003 National Champion on the uneven bars as well as a two-time national bronze medalist on floor exercise.
