Li Fang (tennis)
Li Fang (, born 1 January 1973) is a retired female tennis player from China. She is widely regarded as the first professional tennis player from China. Li turned professional in 1990, and won two WTA doubles titles in her career. In singles, Li Fang reached three finals on the WTA tour (Hobart 1995, Makarska and Pattaya in 1998), losing all of them. She represented her country at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Li played seven years on the China Fed Cup team. She retired in 2001. Personal Li Fang was born in Hengyang in Hunan province to father Li Jianmin and mother Zhou Shanglian. As of 2014, Li Fangs runs a tennis academy in Frisco, Texas. Květa Peschke
Květoslava Peschke (née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech retired professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 26 in November 2005, winning one WTA singles title in Makarska in 1998, but achieved most of her success in doubles. Peschke claimed her first Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Katarina Srebotnik. The pair also jointly attained the world No. 1 ranking in doubles for the next ten weeks, and were the 2011 WTA Doubles Team of the Year, having previously reached the final at the 2010 French Open. In mixed doubles, she finished runner-up at the US Open in 2006, 2010, and 2012, alongside Martin Damm, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Marcin Matkowski respectively. Chen Li-Ling
Chen Li (born 13 March 1971) is a former professional tennis player from China. Career Chen, who comes from the city of Xiangtan in Hunan, played on the WTA Tour in the 1990s and won one title, the doubles at the 1994 China Open, with Li Fang as her partner. In 1996 she was runner-up in the singles at the Nokia Open in Beijing. En route to the final, which she lost to Wang Shi-ting, she accounted for three seeded players, Francesca Lubiani, Yayuk Basuki and Sandrine Testud. She competed as a wildcard at the 1997 Australian Open and was beaten in the first round by Natalia Medvedeva. The China Open is an annual men's and women's professional tennis tournament held in Beijing, China. The women's event is a WTA 1000 event on the WTA Tour, while the men's is an ATP Tour 500 event on the ATP Tour. Maja Murić (born 27 February 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Croatia who is now active with several non-profit organizations. Tennis career During a professional tennis career that spanned 1990–2000, Muric played for both Yugoslavia and Croatia. Together with Nadin Ercegović, Gorana Matić, and Maja Palaveršić she was a member of the original Croatian Fed Cup team in 1992. Dominique Monami (born 31 May 1973) is a former tennis player from Belgium. She is her country's first ever top-10 tennis professional. Monami was born in Verviers. In 1995, she married her coach Bart Van Roost, with whom she has a daughter, and played under the name Dominique Van Roost for much of her career, until their divorce in 2003. The WTA Austrian Open is a WTA Tour affiliated women's tennis tournament held off and on from 1968. In the Open Era, seven locations hosted the event: Pörtschach in 1968 and 1999; Kitzbühel from 1969 to 1983 and from 1990 to 1993; Vienna in 1979 and from 2001 to 2004; Bregenz from 1985 to 1986; Maria Lankowitz from 1994 to 1998, Klagenfurt in 2000 and Bad Gastein from 2007 to 2015 where it took place as Nürnberger Gastein Ladies.
