Leñadores De Las Tunas
Leñadores de Las Tunas (English: Las Tunas Lumberjacks) is a baseball team in the Cuban National Series. Based in the city of Las Tunas (city), Las Tunas, the ''Leñadores'', or ''Magos'' (also known as the ''Espinosos''), were long a perennial last-place team in Group C. Led by Osmani Urrutia in the early 1990s, the ''Magos'' were competitive, finishing with winning records in 2004–05 Cuban National Series, 2004–05 and 2005–06 Cuban National Series, 2005–06. Shortstop Alex Guerrero (baseball), Alex Guerrero, hit a .303/.385/.526 wikt:slash line, slash line with 103 home runs and 413 run batted in, RBI in 559 games from 2004-05 through 2011-12. The teams plays at the Julio Antonio Mella Stadium, inaugurated in 1945 and with a capacity 13,000 spectators. Las Tunas (city)
Las Tunas is a city and municipality in central-eastern Cuba. It is the capital of the Las Tunas Province and was named Victoria de Las Tunas from 1869 to 1976. Geography The city of Las Tunas is located in along the Carretera Central (highway), between the cities of Camagüey, Holguín and Bayamo. In 1943 the municipality was divided into the ''barrios'' of Primero, Segundo, Antonio Machado, Arenas, Caisimú, Cauto del Paso, Cuaba, Curana, Dumañuecos, Ojo de Agua, Oriente, Palmarito, Playuelas and San José de la Plata. The city is currently divided into the ''repartos'' (wards) of Primero (city centre), Segundo, La Victoria, Aguilera, Santo Domingo, Pena, La Loma, Aurora, Velázquez, Sosa, Casa Piedra, Israel Santos, Buena Vista, Alturas de Buena Vista, Propulsión, Aeropuerto and Reparto Militar.
