The ''Leyenda de Plata'' (2008) was professional wrestling tournament produced by the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLLl; Spanish "World Wrestling Council") that ran from July 4, 2008, over the course of three of CMLL's Friday night shows in Arena México with the finals on July 25, 2008. The annual ''Leyenda de Plata'' tournament is held in honor of lucha libre legend El Santo and is one of CMLL's most important annual tournaments. The CMLL International Gran Prix (2008) was a ''lucha libre'', or professional wrestling, tournament produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL; "World Wrestling Council" in Spanish) that took place on the July 25, 2008 ''CMLL Super Viernes'' ("Super Friday") show in Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico, CMLL's main venue. Ephesto
Ephesto (born June 10, 1965) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado (Spanish for "masked professional wrestler"). Ephesto's real name has not been officially documented, a tradition in Mexican lucha libre where masked wrestlers' real names often are not a matter of public record. The wrestler currently known as Ephesto made his debut in 1982 and worked for almost 20 years as Pantera del Ring with limited success. He later worked under the name Safari where he won the Mexican National Trios Championship on two occasions. His current ring name "Ephesto" is derived from the Spanish name for Hephaestus, the Greek god of fire, Hefesto; in fact, his name is sometimes spelled ''Hefesto'' in print sources. Erick Francisco Casas Ruiz (born October 4, 1970) is a Mexican professional wrestler currently working under the ring name Heavy Metal for AAA. He is the son of referee Pepe Casas and part of the Casas wrestling family; the brother of Negro Casas and Felino. Jesus Toral López (born January 7, 1969) is a luchador or professional wrestler who has worked almost exclusively in Mexico. López has achieved most success under the ring name Black Warrior. He is best known for his work for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) between 1995 and 2013. Over the years Black Warrior has played both the rúdo (the Spanish term used for the villains in wrestling) and técnico (the Spanish term used for the good guys in wrestling). Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza (born November 3, 1989) is a Mexican professional wrestler who is currently signed to the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Andrade El Idolo (also stylized Andrade "El Ídolo"). Jorge Luis Alcantar Bolly (born April 30, 1984), is a Mexican second-generation ''luchador'' (professional wrestler). El Sagrado (born June 19, 1980) is a Mexican ''Luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Ramón Ibarra Rivera (born January 26, 1981), better known by his ring name Volador Jr., is a Mexican ''luchador'' (or professional wrestler), who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
