Lewisham railway station is located on the Main Suburban line, serving the Sydney suburb of Lewisham. It is served by Sydney Trains T2 Inner West & Leppington line services. History Lewisham station opened in 1886. The Main Suburban line through Lewisham was quadruplicated in 1892, and sextuplicated in 1927 in association with electrification works. As part of the 1892 work, the northern side platform was converted to an island platform and a new platform constructed on the most northern line. The former was trimmed back to a single platform, and the latter demolished as part of the 1927 works. In September 1990, Lewisham closed for three months as the first station that CityRail upgraded. The Inner West Light Rail is a light rail line in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, running from Central railway station through the Inner West to Dulwich Hill and serving 23 stops. It is the original line of the Sydney light rail network, and was originally known as Sydney Light Rail. Light rail services on the line are now branded as the L1 Dulwich Hill Line. Town Hall railway station is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the centre of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932. It is named after the Sydney Town Hall, located directly above the station. History The station is built on the site of Sydney's earliest colonial cemetery, the Old Sydney Burial Ground. In 2008, part of this cemetery was being excavated from under the Town Hall. The station opened on 28 February 1932 and was built with six platforms, which were split over two levels with three platforms on each level. Leppington railway station is the terminus of the South West Rail Link which serves the south-western Sydney suburb of Leppington. It opened on 8 February 2015.
