Lewis Roberts (snooker Player)
Lewis Roberts (born 2 July 1985) is an English professional snooker player. He became a professional in 2008, however he did not retain his place on the tour at the end of the 2008–09 season. Career Born in 1985, Roberts played in the Pontin's International Open Series (known as PIOS) in the 2000s, hoping to earn a place on the professional main tour. He was able to do this in 2008, but his first season was without any success; he won only three matches – 4–3 over Barry Pinches in the Masters qualifying event, 5–2 over Vincent Muldoon in the China Open and 10–8 over Aditya Mehta in the World Championship. In his other nine matches, Roberts lost 1–5 to Wayne Cooper, Atthasit Mahitthi, Rod Lawler and Mark Joyce, 8–9 to Mahitthi in the 2008 UK Championship and 7–10 to Paul Davies in the World Championship, but never failed to win a frame in any tournament. The World Snooker Tour (WST) is the main professional snooker tour, consisting of approximately 128 players competing on a circuit of up to 28 tournaments each season. Barry Pinches
Barry Pinches (born 13 July 1970 in Catton, Norwich) is an English professional snooker player, recognisable for his bright and flamboyant waistcoats, which usually feature the yellow and green colours of Norwich City F.C. He is a former top 32 player and ranking-event quarter-finalist. He has compiled over 100 century breaks in his career, becoming the 33rd player to have done so. He has also made one maximum break. Vincent Muldoon (born 12 October 1990) is an Irish former professional snooker player. After being a successful junior player (he was a European Under-19 Championship finalist in 2007), he became a professional in 2008. Aditya Mehta
Aditya Mehta (born 31 October 1985 in Mumbai, India) is an Indian former professional snooker player. He participated on the World Snooker Tour for the 2007–08 season, and between 2011 and 2018. He reached a highest world ranking of 49. Mehta participated in the final of ranking event for the first time at the 2013 Indian Open where he played Ding Junhui, but lost 0–5. Mehta has several medals at the Asian and World Games. He won the gold at the men's event at the 2013 World Games, and the team event at the 2009 Asian Games. Wayne Cooper (snooker Player)
Wayne Cooper (born 9 June 1978, in Bradford) is an English former professional snooker player. He first qualified for the main tour in 2001, and was a professional until Summer 2002. Cooper regained his place on the 2008/09 pro tour by finishing top of the EASB Pro Ticket Tour rankings. He won three matches during that season: in the Northern Ireland Trophy, in the Welsh Open and in the World Snooker Championship. Atthasit Mahitthi ( th, อรรถสิทธิ์ มหิทธิ) (born 13 September 1978) is a former professional Thai snooker player. Mahitthi reached the semi-final at the 2006 IBSF World Amateur Championship in Amman, Jordan, where he was eliminated by Kurt Maflin 8–4. Rod Lawler (born 12 July 1971) is an English professional snooker player. He is noted for his slow playing style which gave rise to his nickname, "Rod the Plod". After turning professional in 1990, Lawler has reached one ranking tournament final—the 1996 International Open—where he lost 3–9 to John Higgins, and has won one minor-ranking tournament – Event 3 of the 2012/2013 Players Tour Championship – where he defeated Marco Fu 4–2 in the final. Mark Joyce
Mark Joyce (born 11 August 1983) is an English professional snooker player who lives in Walsall. He began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003. Joyce enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2001, the English Open in 2005 and the English Amateur Championship in 2006, beating Martin O'Donnell 8–3 in the final. Joyce also finished fifth on the 2005/06 Pontin's International Open Series, winning the second of eight events, to book a place on Main Tour. Paul Davies (snooker Player)
Paul Davies (born 22 June 1970) is a Welsh former professional snooker player who lives in Cardiff. He turned professional in 1991. Initially based in Hampshire, Davies began his career in which he was mentored by a local amateur snooker player by the name of Bert Garland who died in 1996. Paul now owns his snooker cue. Career He made an immediate impact, reaching two semi-finals in his first 3 seasons – the 1991 Dubai Classic and the 1993 Asian Open, losing to the eventual champions (John Parrott and Dave Harold) in each case.
