Lewis Neal (American Football)
Lewis Matthew Neal (born May 17, 1995) is a former American football defensive tackle in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Louisiana State University. Early years Neal attended James B. Hunt High School. As a senior he registered 68 tackles, eight sacks and one safety. He played offense and defense at the All-American Bowl where he was named Defensive MVP. He was rated as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. He accepted a football scholarship from Louisiana State University. He was a backup defensive end as a freshman, and was a backup at defensive tackle the following year. As a junior, he became a starter at defensive end, leading the team with eight sacks (tied for 10th in school history), while collecting 48 tackles (9.5 for loss), eight quarterback hurries and six passes defensed. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Canadian Football League
The Canadian Football League (CFL; french: Ligue canadienne de football—LCF) is a professional sports league in Canada. The CFL is the highest level of competition in Canadian football. Brian Keith Price (born June 24, 1994) is a former American football nose tackle. He played college football at UTSA, and was signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Early years Price attended McCutcheon High School. As a senior, he received All-state, All-area and All-conference honors at defensive tackle. He enrolled at Allan Hancock College in 2012. He transferred after the season to the University of Texas at San Antonio. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. The 2017 NFL Draft was the 82nd annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. It was held in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on April 27–29, returning to Philadelphia for the first time since 1961. The player selections were announced from an outdoor theater built on the Rocky Steps, marking the first time an entire NFL draft was held outdoors.
