Lewis Jackson (basketball, Born 1962)
Lewis Jackson (born August 13, 1962) is the former men's college basketball head coach at Alabama State University. He took over as head coach in 2005, after Rob Spivery departed to take the head coach's job at Southern University. Jackson resigned from ASU on March 27, 2020 after 15 seasons. Prior to becoming the head coach at Alabama State, Jackson was an assistant coach for five years on Spivery's staff. Jackson also played basketball at Alabama State, currently sitting fourth on Alabama State's all-time scoring list, and was named SWAC Player of the Year in his senior year. Jackson was inducted into both the Alabama State and SWAC Hall of Fames, and his number was retired by both Alabama State and his high school, Wetumpka High School. Lewis Jackson IV (born September 20, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Indiana All-Americans. Previously he played for the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League. He played college basketball at Purdue University. In his junior season, Jackson led the Boilermakers with four assists per game and shooting 50.3 percent from the floor. As Purdue's primary point guard, he was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten as well as a Bob Cousy Award candidate in 2011 and 2012. High school career Jackson attended Eisenhower High School, located in Decatur, Illinois, where he played basketball under head coach, Jeremy Moore. During his senior season, Lewis averaged 21.7 points and 10 assists a game, while being named ''Illinois' 2008 Big School Player of the Year'' by MidStateHoops.com., while finishing third for Illinois' Mr. Basketball and earning area Player of the Year honors. Ladbroke Lionel Day Black (21 June 1877 – 27 July 1940) was an English journalist and author who wrote mysteries, fantasy and science fiction stories, often under pseudonyms such as Lionel Day, Lewis Jackson and Paul Urquhart. Life Black was born in Burley-in-Wharfedale and was educated in Ireland and at Cambridge. His father Charles Ingham Black was the curate of Burley, and his grandfather the Irish pirate or smuggler John Black ("Black Jack"), who built Elsinore Lodge at Rosses Point, Sligo. Black was appointed assistant editor of ''The Phoenix'' 1897–99 before taking up a similar position with ''The Morning Herald'' in London.
