Lewis Clareburt
Lewis Clareburt (born 4 July 1999) is a New Zealand swimmer. He is the current Commonwealth men's champion for 200 metre butterfly and 400 metre individual medley, having won both events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, he won bronze medals in the men's 400 m individual medley. He swam in the 2020 International Swim League, competing for the New York Breakers. He is coached by Gary Edward Hollywood at Capital Swim Club, Wellington. Medley Swimming
Medley is a combination of four different swimming styles—backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle—into one race. This race is either swum by one swimmer as individual medley (IM) or by four swimmers as a medley relay. Individual medley Individual medley consists of a single swimmer swimming equal distances of four different strokes within one race. Stroke order Individual medley consists of four strokes. These four strokes go in an order by Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and finally Freestyle. The swimmer will swim one quarter of the race in each style, in a certain order. The International Swimming League (ISL) is an annual professional swimming league, established in 2019. It features a team-based competition format with fast-paced race sessions. In 2019, the regular season started in October and the Final Match was held in December. Athletes with a history of breaking anti-doping rules are banned from ISL.
