Hope Lewellen (born April 20, 1967) is an American Paralympic volleyballist. Biography Lewellen was born in Palos Park, Illinois. In 1996 she won her first medal which was silver for her participation in wheelchair tennis at Paralympic Games, Atlanta, Georgia. Four years, in Sydney, Australia she became quarterfinalist in the same sport. In 2004, she won a bronze medal in Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. Four years later she was awarded another bronze medal, this time for her participation in World Organization Volleyball for Disabled Intercontinental Cup in Ismaïlia, Egypt. Verne Clark Lewellen (September 29, 1901 – April 16, 1980) was an American football player and executive. Early life Verne Lewellen was born on September 29, 1901 in Garland, Nebraska. A four-sport high school athlete at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lewellen attended Nebraska University, where he captained and quarterbacked the Cornhuskers to a 14-7 defeat of a Notre Dame squad in 1923. Also a pitcher, the Pittsburgh Pirates were ready to sign him until an injury from a train wreck affected his pitching arm. Professional career Player Jim Crowley - who played against Lewellen in the 1923 Nebraska-Notre Dame matchup - recommended Lewellen to Green Bay Packers coach Curly Lambeau. Lewellen signed with the team and played most of his nine-year career with the Packers. Allen Wayne Lewellen (February 16, 1944 – March 27, 2009) was an American film distribution executive and producer for Paramount Pictures. A native Texan, Lewellen began his career in 1965, aged 21, at Warner Bros.' Dallas branch. He began heading the distribution unit for the studio's motion picture group in 1986 and added foreign distribution to his duties in 1993. During his tenure, he was responsible for distributing such films as ''Forrest Gump'', '' Titanic'', ''Top Gun'', ''Fatal Attraction'', '' Beverly Hills Cop'' and the ''Star Trek'' film series. Lewellen left the studio at the end of 2005, after reportedly having been forced out by film executive Brad Grey.
