Lew Evangelidis

	Lew Evangelidis Lew Evangelidis (born 1961) is the sheriff of Worcester County, Massachusetts and a former member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Early life and education Lewis George Evangelidis was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Judith C., and her husband George L. an attorney. Evangelidis is the first of three children including two sisters, Donna and Kim. He was raised in Holden, Massachusetts and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. Evangelidis attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he received a BS in Economics in 1983. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in 1987. Career before politics Evangelidis worked in the legal departments of insurance companies. He worked an Assistant State Attorney in Dade County, Florida and as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. 	Hubbardston, Massachusetts Hubbardston is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the town population was 4,328. It is situated 18 miles north of Worcester and 53 miles west of Boston; it is distinguished in Massachusetts by being unusually high at 1015 feet above sea level. History Hubbardston, the "Northeast Quarter" of Rutland, was incorporated as a separate district in 1767 and named for Thomas Hubbard (1702–1773), Commissary General of the Province of Massachusetts and Treasurer of Harvard College. It is reported in local history that in view of the honor of giving his name to the town, Hubbard promised to provide the glass for the windows of the first meeting house built in town.
