The Levillain-Letton House is a historic house located in Venice, Florida. Description and history It is a 2-story Mediterranean Revival style house constructed of textured stucco over clay tile. The four bay plan is rectangular with a one bay wing on its right side, resting on a concrete foundation. The gable roof is clad in concrete barrel tile of the period. The Mission Revival style was part of an architectural movement, beginning in the late 19th century, for the revival and reinterpretation of American colonial styles. Mediterranean Revival is an architectural style introduced in the United States, Canada, and certain other countries in the 19th century. It incorporated references from Spanish Renaissance, Spanish Colonial, Italian Renaissance, French Colonial, Beaux-Arts, Moorish architecture, and Venetian Gothic architecture.
