Letters From Chutney
''Letters from Chutney'' is the debut album recorded by the Canadian rock band Rainbow Butt Monkeys, now known as Finger Eleven. It features a different sound than Finger Eleven's subsequent albums, with funk and grunge influences. The album is currently out of print, though available for special order. The album produced three singles, all of which had videos released. The name of the album comes from a dog with a missing eye that the band found on the side of the road. Finger Eleven
Finger Eleven is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 1990. They have released seven studio albums (six as Finger Eleven and one as Rainbow Butt Monkeys), with their album '' The Greyest of Blue Skies'' bringing them into the mainstream. Their 2003 self-titled album achieved Gold status in the United States and Platinum in Canada, largely from the success of the single " One Thing", which marked the band's first placing on the US Hot 100 Chart at number 16. Their 2007 album, '' Them vs. You vs. Me'' launched the single " Paralyzer", which went on to top the Canadian Hot 100 and both US rock charts, as well as reaching No. 6 on the US Hot 100 and No. 12 on the Australian Singles Chart. Funk Metal Albums
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. It de-emphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music. Andrew MacNaughtan
Andrew Neil MacNaughtan (25 February 196425 January 2012) was a Canadian photographer and music video director. Work MacNaughtan won four Juno Awards for his work as a photographer, director and album art designer, including three wins for CD/DVD Artwork Design of the Year in 1995 for Our Lady Peace's album '' Naveed'', in 1998 for Tom Cochrane's '' Songs of a Circling Spirit'' and in 2004 for Jann Arden's '' Love Is the Only Soldier'', and one win for Music DVD of the Year for Rush's ''Rush in Rio'' in 2004. James Black (born August 31, 1975) is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter and musician based in Toronto, Ontario. Black is best known for his role as the lead guitarist in the band Finger Eleven since 1990, and co-founder, guitarist, and singer of Blackie Jackett Jr. Black is also known for occasionally stepping in for Evanescence’s guitarist Troy McLawhorn.
