History The album reached #8 on the R&B albums chart and peaked at #42 on the ''Billboard'' 200. It also reached #22 on the UK Albums Chart. The album yielded the Billboard R&B Top Ten single, "Let the Music Play", which was actually an outtake from his previous album ''Just Another Way to Say I Love You'' and peaked at #4. It also reached #32 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #9 on the UK Singles Chart. Another single, "You See the Trouble with Me", reached #14 on the R&B chart and #2 on the UK Singles Chart. Giovanni Giorgio Moroder (, ; born 26 April 1940) is an Italian composer, songwriter, and record producer. Dubbed the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Father of Disco", Moroder is credited with pioneering euro disco and electronic dance music. His work with synthesizers had a large influence on several music genres such as Hi-NRG, Italo disco, new wave, house and techno music. When in Munich in the 1970s, Moroder started his own record label called Oasis Records, which several years later became a subdivision of Casablanca Records. "Let the Music Play" is a song recorded by American singer Shannon and released on September 19, 1983 as both her debut single and the lead single from her 1984 debut studio album of the same name. Written by Chris Barbosa and Ed Chisolm, and produced by Barbosa and Mark Liggett, "Let the Music Play" was the first of Shannon's four number ones on the US Dance Club Songs chart, reaching the top spot in October 1983. ''Let the Music Play'' is the third studio album by Australian-New Zealand recording artist Stan Walker, released through Sony Music Australia on 18 November 2011. Walker worked with several record producers on the album, including Richard Vission, Chico Bennett, Nicholas "RAS" Furlong and Static Revenger, among others.
