Gang of Youths are an Australian alternative rock group from Sydney based in London. Adrian Breakspear is an English record producer and audio engineer based in Sydney, Australia. He is known for his work with Gang of Youths, Boy & Bear, Ricky Martin and Pharrell Williams. At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, he was nominated for co-producing Williams's 2014 album ''Girl''. The Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition is an annual competition that "acknowledges great songwriting whilst supporting and raising money for Nordoff-Robbins" and is coordinated by Albert Music and APRA AMCOS. The 2017 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 27 January 2018. It was the 25th countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as chosen by listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. A record-breaking number of voters (2.386 million) participated by choosing their top ten songs of 2017. Kendrick Lamar's " Humble" was voted into first place, making him the first person of colour ever to top a Hottest 100. It was also the first track by a non-Australian artist, and the first hip hop song, to win since 2012's "Thrift Shop".
