Abel was an American rock band from Poughkeepsie, New York. The band primarily played alternative rock and indie rock music, with soul music influences. The band began making music in 2008, and disbanded in 2013. Membership consisted of vocalist/guitarist Kevin Kneifel, guitarist Dan Bishop, bassist Alex David, and drummer John Rell III. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Soul Music
Soul music is a popular music genre that originated in the African American community throughout the United States in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
