Lessebo is a locality and the seat of Lessebo Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden with 2,737 inhabitants in 2010. The Lessebo community formed gradually around the paper and iron works that was founded in 1660. Today Vida Paper AB runs the pulp and paper mill as well as The Lessebo Hand Paper Mill which is one of very few commercially run European hand paper mills still existing. Lessebo Municipality
Lessebo Municipality (''Lessebo kommun'') is a municipality in eastern Kronoberg County in southern Sweden, where the town Lessebo is seat. The nationwide local government reform of 1971 saw the creation of the present municipality, when three surrounding municipalities were amalgamated with the market town (''köping'') of Lessebo (itself instituted in 1939) In its history, Lessebo Municipality still honours the Swedish emigration in the late 19th century, whereby many poor farmers from Sweden – many of them from Småland – emigrated to the U.S.. When Vilhelm Moberg wrote his acclaimed novels about this time, he located his main characters' home to the parish of ''Ljuder'' in eastern Lessebo Municipality. An honorary ''Walk of the Emigrants'' also stretches through the municipality and continues to Karlshamn in the south. Kronoberg County
Kronoberg County (; sv, Kronobergs län) is a county or '' län'' in southern Sweden. Kronoberg is one of three counties in the province of Småland. It borders the counties of Skåne, Halland, Jönköping, Kalmar, and Blekinge. Its capital is the city of Växjö. Kingdom Of Crystal
The Kingdom of Crystal (Swedish: ''Glasriket'', ''The glass realm'') is a geographical area today containing a total of 14 glassworks in the municipalities of Emmaboda, Nybro, Uppvidinge, and Lessebo in southern Sweden. (in Swedish) The two municipalities Emmaboda and Nybro belong to Kalmar County and Lessebo and Uppvidinge belong to Kronoberg County. The area is part of the province Småland, and Nybro is considered the capital of the Kingdom of Crystal area. The Kingdom of Crystal is known for its handblown glass with a continuous story since 1742.
