Leslie Warren
Captain Leslie Reginald Warren (born 21 January 1899, date of death unknown) was British flying ace in the First World War who was credited with eight aerial victories. Biography Warren was born in Colony of Natal, to English parents. Biographical sources indicate that his father was Reginald C. Warren, a solicitor from Weybridge, Surrey, while his mother, Kathleen M. Warren, was from Hurstpierpoint, Sussex. By 1901, the family were resident in Kensington, London. However, the source of this information appears to be from the 1901 census and close scrutiny of the document shows that he, and his real mother Margaret Amy Warren, were actually recorded as visitors in the household of Reginald and Kathleen Warren, who were his aunt and uncle. Warren's father was Bernard William Warren, who had been killed during the Battle of Colenso in 1899. A WikiProject, or Wikiproject, is a Wikimedia movement affinity group for contributors with shared goals. Merville (; West Flemish: ''Mergem'') is a commune in the Nord department and Hauts-de-France region of northern France. The town lies 13 kilometres north of Béthune, and 30 kilometres west of Lille. Wervik (; french: Wervicq, ; vls, Wervik; la, Viroviacum) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Wervik and the town of Geluwe. On January 1, 2014, Wervik had a total population of 18,435. Menen (; french: Menin ; vls, Mêenn or ) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Menen proper and the towns of Lauwe and Rekkem. The city is situated on the French/Belgian border. On January 1, 2006, Menen had a total population of 32,413. The total area is 33.07 km² which gives a population density of 980 inhabitants per km².
