Leslie Boney
Leslie N. Boney Sr. (1880–1964) was an American architect who focused on schools. He designed approximately 1,000 schools or additions to schools, and his works appear in 51 of North Carolina's 100 counties. He partnered with William J. Wilkins during 1919 to 1920. A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. His sons, Charlie Boney and Leslie N. Granite Quarry School
Granite Quarry School, also known as Schuford Memorial Elementary School and Granite Quarry Elementary School, is a historic school complex located at Granite Quarry, Rowan County, North Carolina. The main school building was built in 1933, and is a one-story, H-shaped building sheathed in granite. It has a side-gable roof with shed dormers and a pedimented entrance portico. Connected to the main building by open, covered walkways are the cafeteria (1956) designed by Leslie Boney and a classroom building (1960). It was originally built for African-American students and continued to operate until 1968 when its students were integrated into other county schools. Wallace is a town in Duplin and Pender counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The population was 3,880 at the 2010 census. The Pender County portion of Wallace is part of the Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The W. Stokes Boney House, Isaac M. Powers House, and Wallace Commercial Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Geography Wallace is located in southern Duplin County at (34.737248, -77.994627). The town limits extend south into Pender County. U.S. Route 117 passes through the center of town, leading north to Warsaw and south to Burgaw. Snow Hill is a town in Greene County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,595 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Greene County and is part of the Greenville Metropolitan Area. Snow Hill hosts numerous tennis tournaments during the year. Snow Hill is home to the Green Ridge Racquet Club.
