The partnership was established on 14 October 1991. It came into existence due to the founders being unhappy with the direction of older culinary partnerships. They also wanted more attention for the “White Brigade” (kitchen crew) instead of ownership. Membership is open for head chefs with proven culinary quality. Hence all members have Michelin stars awarded to them. Chairperson of “Les Patron Cuiseniers” is former chef Cees Helder, who had been rewarded ‘’’three’’’ Michelin stars while cooking at restaurant Parkheuvel. Staphorst
Staphorst () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. History The villages of Staphorst and its southern neighbour Rouveen came into existence as in the 13th century monks started to bring the bogs and swamps into culture. All the farms were built along the long road through the bog area. Thus a lengthy row of farms was built, becoming the long village of Staphorst-Rouveen. This phenomenon is called in Dutch: ''lintbebouwing'' ( ribbon urbanization). Giethoorn
Giethoorn () is a village in the province of Overijssel, Netherlands with a population of 2,795 in 2020. It is located in the municipality of Steenwijkerland, about 5 km southwest of Steenwijk. As a popular Dutch tourist destination both within Netherlands and abroad, Giethoorn is often referred to as "Dutch Venice" ( nl, Hollands Venetië) or the "Venice of the Netherlands". History Giethoorn used to be a pedestrian precinct, but nowadays exceptions are made. It became locally famous, especially after 1958, when the Dutch film maker Bert Haanstra made his famous comedy ''Fanfare'' there.
