Les Lannom
Les Lannom (born November 4, 1946) is an American actor and musician. Born in Johnston City, Illinois. He is perhaps best known for playing Lester Hodges in the American private detective television series ''Harry O'' from 1974 to 1976, and his role as Sergeant Casper in ''Southern Comfort''. Career Lannom appeared as a guest on the television series ''Judging Amy'', ''The X Files'', '' ER'', ''NYPD Blue'', ''The Larry Sanders Show'', ''Columbo'', ''Scarecrow and Mrs. King'', ''CHiPs'', ''Benson'', ''Knots Landing'', ''The Waltons'' (as Sweet Billy), ''The Streets of San Francisco'', ''The Six Million Dollar Man'', ''Cannon'', and ''The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries''. Johnston City, Illinois
Johnston City is a city in Williamson County, Illinois, United States. The population was 3,348 at the 2020 census. This was a center of coal mining in the early 20th century, having a peak of population in the 1920s. The mining jobs attracted many immigrants from Europe. History Johnston City was founded in 1894 as a stop along the Chicago, Paducah and Memphis Railroad (later part of the Chicago and Eastern Illinois), and named for the contracting firm that constructed the railroad. The eastern part of the city was originally known as Jeffersonville. It was surveyed in 1853. During the American Civil War it was a prosperous village. The post office was established in 1852 under the name Lake Creek. ''CHiPs'' is an American crime drama television series created by Rick Rosner and originally aired on NBC from September 15, 1977, to May 1, 1983. It follows the lives of two motorcycle officers of the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The series ran for 139 episodes over six seasons, plus one reunion television film in October 1998. ''Silkwood'' is a 1983 American biographical drama film directed by Mike Nichols and starring Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell, and Cher. The screenplay by Nora Ephron and Alice Arlen was adapted from the book ''Who Killed Karen Silkwood?'' by ''Rolling Stone'' writer and activist Howard Kohn which detailed the life of Karen Silkwood. Silkwood was a nuclear whistle-blower and a labor union activist who died in a car collision while investigating alleged wrongdoing at the Kerr-McGee plutonium plant where she worked. ''The Streets of San Francisco'' is a television crime drama filmed on location in San Francisco and produced by Quinn Martin, Quinn Martin Productions, with the first season produced in association with Warner Bros.
