Henri Decoin
Henri Decoin (18 March 1890 – 4 July 1969) was a French film director and screenwriter, who directed more than 50 films between 1933 and 1964. He was also a swimmer who won the national title in 1911 and held the national record in the 500 m freestyle. He competed in the 400 m freestyle at the 1908 Summer Olympics and in the water polo tournament at the 1912 Summer Olympics. Biography During World War I, Decoin served as a pilot. After that he worked as a sports journalist for '' L'Auto'', ''L'Intransigeant'' and '' Paris-Soir''. In 1926 he published his first book, influenced by Dadaism, the experimental and prize-winning ''Quinze Combats'' (''Fifteen Rounds''), in which a boxing match is seen subjectively by a boxer, and in 1933 directed his first film, ''Les requins du pétrole'' (''The Oil Sharks''). Jacques Charon
Jacques Charon (27 February 1920 – 15 October 1975) was a French actor and film director. Born in Paris, Charon trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique (CNSAD) and made his début at the Comédie-Française in 1941. During his time there which lasted until his death, he played over 150 roles in the classical and modern repertoire. Charon directed the 1968 feature film ''A Flea in Her Ear'' and the 1973 television movie ''Monsieur Pompadour''. He played Spalanzani in the complete recording of ''The Tales of Hoffmann'' (Decca, 1971). Charon died in Paris and is buried in the Cimetière de Montmartre. Claude Borelli (1934–1960) was a French film actress. Robert Hirsch (actor)
Robert Hirsch (26 July 1925 – 16 November 2017) was a French actor. He was a ''sociétaire'' of the Comédie-Française since 1952. In 1990, he won César Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in ''Hiver 54, l'abbé Pierre''. His other film appearances included ''The Hunchback of Notre Dame'', and in 2006/07 he appeared in ''Le gardien'' (a French adaptation of Harold Pinter's ''The Caretaker'') at Théâtre de l'Oeuvre then Théâtre de Paris. In April 2011, he asked Florian Zeller to write a part specially for him. The result was Le Père which had its first performance in Le Théâtre Hébertot, Paris, in September 2012. Hirsch played the central character, André, at the age of 87.
