''Les enfants du Pirée'' is the seventh French language studio album by Dalida, and her first album of the 1960s. It contains big #1 hit "Les enfants du Pirée", and other hits like "T'aimer follement", "Romantica" and "L'Arlequin de Tolède". In 2002, Barclay Records, then as part of Universal Music France, released a digitally remastered version of the original vinyl in CD and in 10" (25 cm) vinyl record (LP), under the same name, as part of a compilation containing re-releases of all of Dalida's studio albums recorded under the Barclay label. The album was again re-released in 2005. She sang in eleven languages and sold millions of records internationally. Barclay is a French record company and label founded by Eddie Barclay in 1953. Eddie Barclay was a bandleader, pianist, producer, and nightclub owner. With his wife, Nicole, who was the vocalist in his band, he started Barclay. The catalogue included the work of Stéphane Grappelli, Lionel Hampton, and Rhoda Scott. In 1978, 40 % of the label was sold to Polygram. Jazz issues ceased in 1983. Dave Burgess (born December 13, 1934, Beverly Hills, California, United States) is an American guitar player, singer, songwriter, and band leader of The Champs. Biography Singing career In 1953, he recorded for Okeh, as a singer and made his first records with no success. His first release was "Judalina" b/w "Don't Put A Dent In My Heart" (Okeh 4-7002). A second release was "Gratefully Yours" b/w "Too Late For Tears" (Okeh 4-7044). He subsequently recorded for different record labels, with many of his vocals appearing on the budget TOPS label. In 1957, he recorded for Challenge as Dave Duprè. He finally found initial success as a songwriter with many songs including the 1957 hit I'm Available for Margie Rayburn. Floyd Andrew Robinson (born May 9, 1936) is a former outfielder in Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox (1960–1966), Cincinnati Reds (1967), and the Oakland Athletics and Boston Red Sox (1968). A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove.
