Kirk Leroy Miller professionally known as Leroy Miller (born February 19, 1965) is an American musician from Spokane, Washington. Career Leroy has had two songs that have been featured on the TV series '' Scrubs'', and one on the series ''Arrested Development''. His song "New World" was featured on the ''10 Things I Hate About You'' soundtrack. His song "Good Time" was featured in the films '' Driven'' and ''Laurel Canyon''. In the summer of 2008, he joined Smash Mouth as a guitarist to replace Greg Camp, who had just left the band. Laurel Canyon (film)
''Laurel Canyon'' is a 2002 American drama film written and directed by Lisa Cholodenko. The film stars Frances McDormand, Christian Bale, Kate Beckinsale, Natascha McElhone, and Alessandro Nivola. Plot Sam and Alex are a newly engaged couple who move to Los Angeles to further their careers. Sam is a recently graduated medical student, starting his residency in psychiatry, while Alex is finishing her Ph.D. dissertation on genomics. The relatively straight-laced, upwardly mobile couple plans to stay at the vacant home of Sam's mother, Jane, a free-spirited record producer in the Laurel Canyon section of Los Angeles. ''Heavier Things'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter John Mayer, released on September 9, 2003 by Aware and Columbia Records. It debuted at #1 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, selling over 317,000 copies in its first week. Despite some criticism towards Mayer's songwriting, ''Heavier Things'' received generally positive reviews. Background Mayer felt he could be more relaxed focused on his art while making ''Heavier Things''. With Jack Joseph Puig as producer, loops and horns were more prominently featured. Mayer took greater control of the creative side with this album; much of it was recorded in his New York City apartment. He also got final approval on all radio edits. John Mayer
John Clayton Mayer ( ; born October 16, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Born and raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut, Mayer attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, but left and moved to Atlanta in 1997 with Clay Cook. Together, they formed a short-lived two-man band called Lo-Fi Masters. After their split, Mayer continued to play local clubs, refining his skills and gaining a following. After his appearance at the 2001 South by Southwest festival, he was signed to Aware Records, and eventually to Columbia Records, which released his first extended play ''Inside Wants Out''.
