Eugenio Luigi Umberto Giovanni Maria de Lerma (Reggio Emilia; 30 July 1907 – 20 January 1965 in Utrecht) was an Italian painter and ceramist, who since 1934 worked in the Netherlands. Life and work The Lerma majolica techniques at the Instituto della Ceramica in Faenza. He then taught at the School of Applied Arts in Castellamonte. In 1927 he became the technical ceramist in the majolica factory of the Dutch Jonkvrouw Sophie van der Does de Willebois in Vietri sul Mare, and in 1928 he became a director of the ceramics firm I.C.A.R.O. on Rhodes in the Greek Dodecanese. Juan Lerma Gómez (born June 8, 1955) is a Spanish neuroscientist and research professor at the Instituto de Neurociencias in Alicante. Currently he is editor-in-chief of ''Neuroscience'', the official journal of the International Brain Research Organization, and scientific director of the programme "Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence" (2014-2022). Jefferson Andrés Lerma Solís (born 25 October 1994) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for club AFC Bournemouth and the Colombia national team. Hernando De Lerma
Hernando de Lerma Polanco (born November 1, 1541) was a conqueror, politician, lawyer and city founder from Seville, Spain. On November 13, 1577, Lerma was named Governor of Tucumán, (in present Argentina) by Spanish King Philip II. Described by historians as a man of violence, de Lerma had problems with several people from the area, including fellow countrymen. Among those he persecuted were the spokesman of a Catholic bishop. He also disliked Francisco Salcedo, another Catholic man who built a church in Santiago del Estero. Many of de Lerma's opponents ended up in jail or being killed. Salcedo retired to another city and became convalescent, but he was returned to Tucumán by de Lerma's men after he found him. In Tucumán, Salcedo was tried and jailed. Gilberto Lerma Plata (born 1962/1963) is a Mexican former police chief and convicted drug lord. He began his career in 1993 as a police officer in the Tamaulipas State Police when his cousin Manuel Cavazos Lerma became Governor of Tamaulipas. Lerma Plata was eventually promoted to police commander in Reynosa and Miguel Alemán. In the late 1990s, while still working for the police, Lerma Plata joined the Gulf Cartel, a criminal group based in Tamaulipas, for whom he facilitated drug trafficking operations from Mexico to the US, coordinated cash smuggling operations, and aided in the procurement of firearms.
