Leprechaun (film Series)
''Leprechaun'' is an American horror comedy film series consisting of eight slasher films. Beginning with ''Leprechaun'' (1993), the series centers on a malevolent and murderous leprechaun referred to as Lubdan Buttowski, who, when his gold is taken from him, resorts to any means necessary to reclaim it. None of the films in the series are presented in chronological order. Warwick Davis plays the title role in every film except for the 2014 film '' Leprechaun: Origins'', and the 2018 film ''Leprechaun Returns'', in which the character is respectively portrayed by Dylan Postl and Linden Porco. On St. Patrick's Day, all ''Leprechaun'' films are played on Syfy. Films The first two films were theatrically released. After a disappointing gross from ''Leprechaun 2'', Vidmark released the following sequels direct-to-video. Brian Medwin Trenchard-Smith (born 1946) is an English-Australian filmmaker and author, known for his idiosyncratic and satirical low-budget genre films. His filmography covers action, science fiction, martial arts, dystopian fiction, comedy, war, family, thriller, romance and erotica, and his works tend to be cross-genre pieces. ''Leprechaun 3'' (also known as ''Leprechaun 3: In Vegas'') is a 1995 American slasher comedy film and the third, and first direct-to-video installment, in the ''Leprechaun'' series. The film follows a psychotic leprechaun, who begins a killing spree in Las Vegas. The film was followed by '' Leprechaun 4: In Space'' (1997). Plot At the beginning of the film, a stranger with a missing arm, leg, and eye sells a grotesque Leprechaun statue to a Las Vegas Pawnshop owner called Gupta. The figure has a golden medallion around its neck, which the shop owner removes despite being warned by the stranger not to. Rodman Flender (born June 9, 1962) is an American actor, writer, director and producer. Early life and education Flender was born and raised in a Jewish family in New York City, the son of Enid (née Rodman), a former Broadway dancer, and Harold Flender (1924—1975), a writer and screenwriter.
