Leopold Drucker
Leopold Drucker (22 February 1903 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary – 25 February 1988 in New York City, United States) was an Austrian international footballer and coach. Biography He made his debut for the youth team of Hakoah Vienna (Hebrew for ''the Force'', a Jewish multisports club in Vienna) and moved to the first team, then playing in the Austrian second division. His first match in the first division came in December 1920 with the Hakoah first team, who had just been promoted. He marked his appearance with a goal. However, he continued to play sporadically for the first team, more often used as a reserve. Therefore, he decided to move clubs, and left for FAC, Floridsdorfer AC who had just been relegated to the second division. The objective was for the team to be immediately re-promoted to the first division, and the following season, Floridsdorfer returned to the elite. The Brooklyn Wanderers was a U.S. soccer team which was a founding member of the National Association Football League in the late nineteenth century. Later versions joined the original American Soccer League and the reorganized American Soccer League. Brooklyn Wanderers (1895–1899, 1912–1913) History In December 1894 the Wanderers were a key part of the formation of the National Association Football League. The league suspended operations in 1899. The team's competitive record then becomes difficult to follow as it appears to have operated as an independent club. In September 1901, it lost to the Bayonne Rangers during a Labor Day sports carnival. In 1906, a member of the Wanderers acted as a referee in a game between Critchleys and Brooklyn Thistle. This rare reference to the Wanderers is significant in that Critchley's outside right Nat Agar (listed as Agot) later owned the Wanderers.
