Leonid Viktorovich Slutsky (russian: Леонид Викторович Слуцкий ; born 4 May 1971) is a Russian professional Association football, football coach and a former player. He has managed FC Olimpia Volgograd, Olimpia Volgograd, FC Uralan Elista, Uralan Elista, FC Moscow, Moscow, FC Krylia Sovetov Samara, Krylia Sovetov, PFC CSKA Moscow, CSKA Moscow, Russia national football team, Russia, Hull City A.F.C., Hull City, SBV Vitesse, Vitesse and FC Rubin Kazan, Rubin Kazan. Playing career Slutsky, who is Jewish, saw his professional playing career ended aged 19, after he injured his knee falling from a tree while saving a cat. Coaching career Early career Slutsky became head coach of FC Moscow on 14 July 2005 until the end of the 2007 season. His final match as head coach of Moscow was a 3–1 win against FC Luch-Energiya Vladivostok, Luch-Energiya Vladivostok on 11 November 2007.
