Leonid Enik
Leonid Enik was Minister for Culture of Abkhazia Abkhazia, ka, აფხაზეთი, tr, , xmf, აბჟუა, abzhua, or ( or ), officially the Republic of Abkhazia, is a partially recognised state in the South Caucasus, recognised by most countries as part of Georgia, which vi ... from 2001 until 10 March 2005. He was born in 1960 in the village of Mgudzurkhva in Gudauta District. On 29 January 2016, Leonid Enik was appointed as the new General Director of the Abkhazian State TV and Radio, succeeding Emma Khojava, who had been dismissed, upon her own request, on 25 January. During his tenure, Enik was criticised by other journalists, in particular his predecessor Khojava. In October, he announced that he wanted to resign due to ill health, and on 4 November he was replaced by former Education Minister Tali Japua. The Abkhazian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company () is Abkhazia's Public broadcasting, public television and radio broadcaster, founded in 1976. Gudauta District
Gudauta District is a district of Abkhazia, Georgia’s breakaway republic. It corresponds to the eponymous Georgian district. Its capital is Gudauta, the town by the same name. The population of the district was 34,869 at the time of the 2003 census, down from 57,334 in 1989. By the time of the 2011 Census, the population had increased to 36,775. Administration Lev Shamba was reappointed as Administration Head on 10 May 2001 following the March 2001 local elections. On 16 June 2003, President Ardzinba assented to Shamba's request for dismissal and replaced him with First Deputy Minister for Education Beslan Dbar. Abkhaz People
Abkhazians (russian: Абхазы), or Abkhazs ( ab, Аԥсуаа, Aṕswaа, ), are a Northwest Caucasian ethnic group, mainly living in Abkhazia, a disputed region on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea. A large Abkhaz diaspora population resides in Turkey, the origins of which lie in the population movements from the Caucasus in the late 19th century. Many Abkhaz also live in other parts of the former Soviet Union, particularly in Russia and Ukraine. Nodar Vladimirovich Khashba ( ab, Нодар Хашба, ka, ნოდარ ხაშბა; born 1951 in Tkvarcheli) is a former prime minister of Georgia's breakaway republic of Abkhazia and a former mayor of Sukhumi. Khashba was mayor of Sukhumi from 1993 until 1995. Afterwards he became a senior official in Russia's emergencies ministry. Raul Khajimba
Raul Jumkovich Khajimba ( ab, Рауль Џьумка-иҧа Ҳаџьымба, ka, რაულ ჯუმკას-ძე ჰაჯიმბა; born 21 March 1958) is an Abkhazian politician, and served as President of Abkhazia from 25 September 2014 until 12 January 2020. He was also Chairman of the Forum for the National Unity of Abkhazia from 2010 to 2015. Khajimba previously held the offices of Vice President (2005–2009), Prime Minister (2003–2004) and Defence Minister (2002–2003). He unsuccessfully ran for President in 2004, 2009 and 2011. He resigned the presidency in 2020 due to protests against him.
