Leonardo Favio
Fuad Jorge Jury (28 May 1938 – 5 November 2012), better known by his stage name Leonardo Favio (), was an Argentine singer, actor and filmmaker. He is considered one of Argentina's best film directors and one of the country's most enduring cultural figures, as well as a popular singer-songwriter throughout Latin America. Much beloved in Latin America, Favio was one of the most successful Argentine singers in the 1960s and 1970s, with big hits like (with Carola Leyton), , , , , , , , , , , and . He also starred in many films before establishing himself as a director. At the time he began his singing career (mid-1960s), Favio was already an established film director. Luján De Cuyo
Luján de Cuyo is the district capital of the Luján de Cuyo Department located in the west of the Mendoza Province of Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Mendoza metropolitan area. Wine It was the first delineated appellation for the purposes of wine production, recognised by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine in 1993. Situated in the upper Mendoza valley, where the river is half-way through its journey from the Andes mountains to the eastern plains, many Lujan de Cuyo vineyards sit at altitudes of around 1000 m (3280 ft). Carlos Monzón
Carlos Roque Monzón (7 August 1942 – 8 January 1995), nicknamed Escopeta (''Shotgun'' in Spanish), was an Argentine professional boxer who held the undisputed world middleweight championship for 7 years. He successfully defended his title 14 times against 11 different fighters and is widely regarded as not only one of the best middleweights in history but also one of the greatest boxers of all time pound-for-pound. ''Gatica, el mono'' is a 1993 Argentine drama film directed by Leonardo Favio. It is a biopic of Argentine boxer José María Gatica. It won the Silver Condor for Best Film. The film was selected as the Argentine entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 66th Academy Awards, but Leonardo Favio asked the Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía (INC) to remove it as a nominee in order to protest in delays of the Congress' approval of the Foreign Films taxes. In a survey of the 100 greatest films of Argentine cinema carried out by the Museo del Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken in 2000, the film reached the 24th position.
