Leo Čizmić
Leo Čizmić (born December 17, 1998) is an Israeli-born Croatian professional basketball player who plays for Bàsquet Girona of the LEB Plata. Career The son of former basketball player Teo Čizmić, who was a member of the Yugoslavian junior national team and played professionally in a number of European countries, he was born in Israel, where his father was playing at the time. Čizmić came through the youth ranks of KK Split and headed to Spain in 2014 to join Baloncesto Sevilla. He played for the club’s youth team and for their second men’s team, before making his debut in Spain’s top-tier Liga ACB in the 2015-16 season. He would then flit between Sevilla’s ACB squad and their affiliate teams. Čizmić moved to Araberri of the Spanish second-tier LEB Oro for the 2017-18 season. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. The 2016 FIBA U18 European Championship was the 33rd edition of the FIBA U18 European Championship. The competition was originally scheduled to take place in Samsun, Turkey, from 30 July to 7 August 2016, but was postponed indefinitely due to the political unrest in the country at the time. Liga Española De Baloncesto
The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the LEB Oro are relegated to LEB Plata.
