The Lent Bumps 2015 was a series of rowing races at Cambridge University from Wednesday 25 February 2015 to Saturday 28 February 2015. The 2015 Lent Bumps saw CUCBC deciding to cut one division's worth of places (two thirds of the M4 division and one third of the W3 division) compared to recent years. This caused some controversy amongst the college boat clubs. Sport Rowing
Rowing, sometimes called crew in the United States, is the sport of racing boats using oars. It differs from paddling sports in that rowing oars are attached to the boat using oarlocks, while paddles are not connected to the boat. The Lent Bumps (also Lent Races, Lents) are a set of rowing races held annually on the River Cam in Cambridge. They began in 1887, after separating from the May Bumps, which are bumping races held in mid-June.
