Lene Egeli
Lene Egeli (born 27 March 1987 in Stavanger, Norway) is a Norwegian people, Norwegian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Norway 2008, Frøken Norge (Miss Norway) 2008, on 21 April 2008. She went on to represent Norway in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa on 13 December 2008. She did not advance to the semi-final Egeli competed in ''Norway's Next Top Model'' in 2006, in which she placed as the 1st runner-up; Årets Ansikt ("Face of the Year") in 2004, in which she placed as the 2nd runner-up and the people's choice; and a modeling contest in People's Republic of China, China. She also made a television advertisement, television commercial for the United States, American cosmetics company Revlon. She has completed high school and has worked as an assistant teacher and model. Miss Norway
Miss Norway (formerly known as "Frøken Norge") is a national beauty pageant in Norway The pageant was founded in 1950, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe. History Miss Norway was held for first time in 1950 by Dagbladet Magazine. There were no official Frøken Norge or Miss Norway titleholders from 1975 to 1982 during which Norwegian model agencies sent girls to international pageants. Since 1983 the pageant was run by Frøken Norge Corporation. In 2000 - 2010, the pageant was sponsored by TV2 Network. Traditionally, the winner will get a chance to compete at Miss World pageant.
