Len Phillips
Leonard Horace Phillips (11 September 1922 – 9 December 2011) was an English professional association football, footballer who played as an inside forward, notably for Portsmouth F.C., Portsmouth. He won three cap (sport), caps for the England national football team, England national team and scored 97 goals. Career Phillips was born in Shoreditch, London. At club level, he played his entire professional career for Portsmouth F.C., Portsmouth, and was a member of the Football League First Division, championship-winning teams of Portsmouth F.C. season 1948-49, 1949 and Portsmouth F.C. season 1949-50, 1950. After his professional career, Phillips went on to play non-league football for Poole Town F.C., Poole Town, Chelmsford City F.C., Chelmsford City, Bath City F.C., Bath City and Waterlooville F.C., Waterlooville, the latter while working as a lathe operator at De Havilland's works in Portsmouth. Shoreditch
Shoreditch is an area in London, England and is located in the London Borough of Hackney alongside neighbouring parts of Tower Hamlets, which are also perceived as part of the area due to historic ecclesiastical links. Shoreditch lies just north-east of the border with the City of London and is considered to be a part of London's East End. Ramsgate F
Ramsgate is a seaside town and civil parish in the district of Thanet in eastern Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century.
