''Lembing Awang Pulang Ke Dayang '' is a 2009 Malaysian Malay-language historical drama film, directed by Majed Salleh. The film was produced by Dayang Digital , and also stars Farid Kamil, Siti Elizad, Zul Huzaimy, Lynette Ludi and Uji Rashid. Plot This movie is related to an incident that occurred in Johor. It occurred in 1776 when a man called Awang returned to Parit Raja after more than 3 years abroad to marry his fiancée Dayang. Upon his return, he found out that another man called Bachok had told Dayang of Awang's death and planning to marry her the next day. Awang turned up at the wedding ceremony and using a spear given by Raja Bugis, he speared Bachok in the stomach. Bachok, fatally injured grabbed the spear in his stomach and speared his best man. The man then speared the next man he saw and this was repeated until the 99th person was speared. It was Dayang's father who was protecting Dayang. He did not continue the repeated spearing and died. Farid Kamil
Farid Kamil bin Zahari (born 5 May 1981) is a Malaysian actor, director and screenplay writer. He is a well-known male model turned actor who has made a big reputation of himself as one of Malaysia's most famous actors since Rosyam Nor in the 1990s for several of his outstanding performances in drama series and movies alike. Mustapha Maarof
Dato' Mustapha Azahari bin Maarof ( Jawi: مصطفى ازاهاري معروف; 1 January 1935 – 15 December 2014) was a Malaysian actor. He appeared in Singapore’s '' Hang Tuah'' (1959), '' 1957: Hati Malaya'' (2007) and '' Chermin'' (2007), among many other films. Maarof won the Veterans' Award presented at the 10th Malaysian Film Festival. He served on the board of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia, from which he received the Industry Icon Award in 2010. Maarof co-founded the charity arm of Persatuan Seniman Malaysia, a Malaysian artists' collective. Personal life He was the son of Maarof Zakaria, lawyer and founder of Malay National Bank (''Bank Kebangsaan Melayu'').
