Leksdalvatnet is a lake in Trøndelag county, Norway that lies in the municipalities of Steinkjer and Verdal. It is located south of the town of Steinkjer (town), Steinkjer and northeast of the town of Verdalsøra, about east of the Trondheimsfjord. The lake sits at an elevation of above sea level. It is drained by Figgja. The villages of Forbregd and Lein, Norway, Lein lie at the southern end of the lake, Leksdalen is on the eastern side of the lake, and Sem, Nord-Trøndelag, Sem (in Steinkjer) lies at the northern end. Verdalsøra is a town in the municipality of Verdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. The town is the administrative center of the municipality. It is located along the Trondheimsfjord at the mouth of the river Verdalselva. The village of Vinne lies to the southeast, Trones lies about to the north, the villages of Forbregd/Lein lie about to the northeast (along the lake Leksdalsvatnet), and the village of Stiklestad lies about to the east. Innherred or Innherad is a Districts of Norway, traditional district in Trøndelag county in the central part of Norway. It consists of the areas around the inner part of the Trondheimsfjord in the central-east part of the county. The district includes the municipalities of Levanger, Frosta, Verdal, Inderøy, and Steinkjer. Sometimes, the municipalities of Snåsa and Namdalseid are also included in the Innherred district. Steinkjer (town)
Steinkjer is the administrative centre of the municipality of Steinkjer in Trøndelag county, Norway. The town is located at the northeastern end of the inner-most part of the Trondheimsfjorden, at the mouth of the river Steinkjerelva. In the eastern part of the town, the river of Figgja also flows into the fjord. The town is split in two by Steinkjerelva, creating the two traditional neighborhoods of Nordsia and Sørsia.
