Lejonen Gislaved
Lejonen (the Lions) is a motorcycle speedway club from Gislaved in Sweden, who compete in the Elitserien. Their home track is at the OnePartnerGroup Arena which is Sweden's oldest track still in use. The club are two times champions of Sweden. History In December 1929 Gislaved Motorclub was formed and by 1931 the track was built. The track was originally wide and long but in 1936 it was widened to and during the 1980s the inside edge of the track was moved and the length was reduced to . In 1963 the Lejonen team began racing in Division Three and became the champions in 1965. Lejonen finished at the top of Division Two (the Allsvenskan) in 2007 and defeated Valsarna in the play-off final to gain promotion to the Elitserien for 2008. During the winter of 2007-08 the track underwent major changes to accommodate Elitserien racing and the club announced the signing of Nicki Pedersen, the 2007 World Champion. Mateusz Cierniak
Mateusz Cierniak (born on 3 October 2002) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career In 2021, Cierniak finished second in the Krosno round of the World Under 21 Championship. He was denied the chance to compete for the title itself after only being allowed to compete in one of the three rounds because he was not listed as one of the original qualified riders. Cierniak won the gold medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2022 SGP2 and the World U-21 Team Championship. Linus Eklöf (born 3 March 1989) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider who won the Team U-19 European Champion title in 2008. Maksym Drabik (born 22 February 1998) is an international speedway rider from Poland. Dimitri Bergé (born 5 February 1996) is a French speedway rider. Career International Bergés' major honours include the 2009 125cc Grasstrack and the World 250cc Longtrack Champion 2012. He was World Under-21 finalist in 2016 and 2017 and represented France in the 2018 Speedway of Nations. Mathias Thörnblom (born 14 July 1992 in Malmö) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Thörnblom made his British leagues debut in 2012 when he rode for Coventry Bees. Patryk Dudek (; born 20 June 1992) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who is a member of the Polish national speedway team. Career Dudek's father, Sławomir, was a professional rider and Patryk gained his speedway licence in 2008. Tobiasz Musielak (born 18 August 1993 in Leszno, Poland) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who rode for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the Elite League and has also ridden for Swindon Robins and Sheffield Tigers. Career Musielak, the younger brother of fellow Speedway rider Sławomir Musielak, mirrored the early career of his brother by starting his career with Unia Leszno who Tobiasz still rides for today after first riding for them in 2009.
