It has oval-elliptic shaped leaves, scented foliage and lemon flowers usually in groups of three arising from the leaf axils. Description ''Leionema ceratogynum'' is dense shrub to high, immature branchlets with conspicuous ridging and covered with soft, upright, star-shaped hairs. The leaves are oval-elliptic shaped, long, wide and pointed or rounded at the apex. The leaf surface may be smooth or have short, firm hairs, raised warty oil-glands or occasional star-shaped hairs. The leaf lower surface is white, smooth, covered with small, soft, star-shaped, erect hairs, margins rolled under on a petiole long. In botany, the petiole () is the stalk that attaches the leaf blade to the stem, and is able to twist the leaf to face the sun. This gives a characteristic foliage arrangement to the plant. Peduncle (botany)
In botany, a peduncle is a stalk supporting an inflorescence or a solitary flower, or, after fecundation, an infructescence or a solitary fruit. The peduncle sometimes has bracts (a type of cataphylls) at nodes. The main axis of an inflorescence above the peduncle is the rachis. There are no flowers on the peduncle but there are flowers on the rachis. Neville Grant Walsh
Neville Grant Walsh (born 1956) has worked at the National Herbarium of Victoria from 1977. Together with Don Foreman, he authored the first volume of ''Flora of Victoria'', authoring a further two with Timothy John Entwisle, Timothy Entwisle. while for Volume 4 all three shared the work. He has published 112 names in more than 80 peer-reviewed papers (see scholia). He has served on the working group (vascular plants) for the Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria since 2005, and in 2010 served as its taxonomic advisor on the Campanulaceae family. Wadbilliga National Park is a national park that is located in high country spanning the Monaro and South Coast regions of south-eastern New South Wales, Australia. ''Leionema'' is a genus of more than 20 species of mostly small shrubs in the family Rutaceae, most of which are endemic species, endemic to eastern Australia.
