Leinster U21 Football Championship
The Leinster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a five to six-week period, and the results determine which team receives the Flood Cup. The championship has usually been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship
The 2022 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship was the fifth staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship, All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 59th staging overall of a Gaelic football championship for players between the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship, minor and All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, senior grades. The championship began on 25 March and ended on 14 May 2022. Offaly county football team, Offaly were the 2021 All-Ireland Under-20 Football Championship, defending champions, however they were beaten by Kildare county football team, Kildare in the Leinster semi-final. The final took place on 14 May 2022, between Kildare and Tyrone county football team, Tyrone. Tyrone won the match by 1–20 to 1–14 to win their sixth title and their first since 2015 All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship, 2015. Kilkenny GAA
The Kilkenny County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Kilkenny GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Cill Chainnigh) is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kilkenny. Tommy Lyons
Tommy Lyons is an Irish former Gaelic football manager and player from County Mayo who managed two inter-county teams. He was also a regular panellist/analyst on RTÉ's ''The Sunday Game''. Although born in County Mayo, Lyons considers himself a Dubliner, having moved to Dublin at a very young age. Career Club Lyons's playing career with Dublin GAA club Kilmacud Crokes ended early due to a persistent knee injury. A screw had to be placed within the knee at one point, which hindered his running ability. Lyons managed Kilmacud Crokes to an All-Ireland Club SFC on Saint Patrick's Day, 1995. Luke Dempsey (born 15 December 1959) is a Gaelic football manager. His managerial career began in 1994. He has managed three county teams: Westmeath, Longford and Carlow, as well as several clubs in Kildare, Westmeath and Meath. Career Dempsey guided Westmeath to an All-Ireland Minor Football Championship title in 1995 and to an All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship title in 1999, then in his first season as senior manager led the team to an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final. Jim Gavin (footballer)
Jim Gavin (born 1 July 1971) is an Irish List of Gaelic football managers, Gaelic football manager and former Gaelic football, player. He was the manager of the senior Dublin county football team, Dublin county team from 2012 to 2019, becoming the county's most successful manager in terms of major titles won. Gavin is regarded as one of the best Manager (Gaelic games), managers in the modern game. Dessie Farrell
Dessie Farrell is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. He has been manager of the Dublin county team since 2019. A former All Star Gaelic footballer who played at senior level for Dublin county team for nearly 15 years, he retired from county football in 2005 and spent another four years playing with his club Na Fianna. Having won an All-Ireland with Dublin in 1995, Dessie went on to captain his county, winning six Leinster championships, a National League title and three county championships with his club.
