Leila Staffler
Leila Haveia Fleming Clark Staffler is an American politician and educator who served as a member of the Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives for the 5th district. Staffler is the Secretary of Labor under Governor Arnold Palacios. She was confirmed on March 29,2023 by the Northern Mariana Islands Senate. Education Staffler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts from Willamette University in 2001 and a Master of Science in educational leadership and administration from Western Governors University. Career From 2001 to 2007, Staffler worked as an art and English teacher at Tinian Jr./Sr. High School. From 2007 to 2010, she was an English teacher at Kagman High School in Saipan. She later worked as the principal of Kagman High School from 2013 to 2021. Willamette University
Willamette University is a private liberal arts college with locations in Salem and Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1842, it is the oldest college in the Western United States. Originally named the Oregon Institute, the school was an unaffiliated outgrowth of the Methodist Mission. David Mundo Apatang (born July 10, 1948) is a Northern Mariana Islander politician who is serving as the 13th lieutenant governor of the Northern Mariana Islands since 2023. He previously served as the mayor of Saipan from January 12, 2015 to January 8, 2023. As a Republican, Apatang formerly served in the Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives. Apatang was elected lieutenant governor of the Northern Mariana Islands in the 2022 election on an independent ticket headed by Arnold Palacios.
