Leikkikalugangsteri
''Leikkikalugangsteri'' (English: ''The Toy Gangster'') is a 1969 comedy directed by Ere Kokkonen, written and starring Spede Pasanen. It was released the same year as Spede's '' Näköradiomiehen ihmeelliset siekailut'' and '' Pohjan tähteet''. Though the film is principally in black and white, the last 20 minutes are filmed in colour. Kari Sohlberg won the 1970 Jussi Award nomination for Best Cinematography jointly for the film along with Jörn Donner's '' Sixtynine 69'' and ''Pohjan tähteet''. Plot Jim King (Spede Pasanen) is the rich owner of a toy company and a constant pain for his closest competitor Krakström (Juhani Kumpulainen) from whom he keeps snatching important toy contracts. As a result, Krakström's company is nearing bankruptcy, which causes friction when King starts dating Krakström's daughter Sylvi (Tamara Lund). Spede Pasanen
Pertti Olavi "Spede" Pasanen (10 April 1930 – 7 September 2001) was a Finnish film director and producer, comedian, and inventor. During his career he directed, wrote, produced or acted in about 50 film, movies and participated in numerous TV productions, including the comedy ''Spede Show'' and the game-show ''Speden Spelit''. Much of his more commercial work was in collaboration with Vesa-Matti Loiri (whose most popular character created by Pasanen was Uuno Turhapuro; first in TV sketches and then in a long-lasting series of motion pictures) and Simo Salminen. Pasanen's films and TV shows, often made quickly and on a low budget, usually received little critical recognition but were popular among Finnish audiences from the 1960s onwards. Risto Kalevi Aaltonen (16 March 1939 – 8 March 2021) was a Finnish actor. Aaltonen was born in Helsinki. Ere Kokkonen
Erkki Olavi "Ere" Kokkonen (7 July 1938 – 16 October 2008), born in Savonlinna, was a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He worked closely with Spede Pasanen all the way from the 1960s until Spede's death, as a director, writer and also an actor. Kokkonen's feature film debut was ''Millipilleri'' (1966), co-directed with Spede Pasanen and Jukka Virtanen. In later decades, when Turhapuro films were made less frequently, Kokkonen scripted and directed the ''Vääpeli Körmy'' series of films His career as a director also includes filming of Arto Paasilinna's books, including ''The Ten Graters'' and ''A Charming Mass Suicide''. Juhani "Juhku" Kumpulainen (31 July 1925, in Viipuri – 12 November 1991, in Helsinki) was a Finnish actor and director. He did a total of 85 movie roles between 1950 and 1991. Kumpulainen was also the official YLE's administrative and organizational tasks as well as Tesvisio facility manager. Tamara Adele Lund-Ioniță (6 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was a Finnish soprano singer and actress. She was born in Turku and was a graduate of the Sibelius Academy. She performed in the Finnish National Opera from 1967 and at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich from 1974 to 1987. Tamara Lund was the mother of the Finnish singer Maria Lund. Vesa-Matti "Vesku" Loiri (4 January 1945 – 10 August 2022) was a Finnish actor, musician and comedian, best known for his role as Uuno Turhapuro, whom he portrayed in a total of 20 movies between the years 1973 and 2004. Leo Paavali Jokela (24 January 1927 – 11 May 1975) was a Finnish actor. He is best remembered for his role as a detective Kokki in Matti Kassila's '' Komisario Palmu'' films and as a parrot G. Pula-aho in Spede Pasanen's radio programs. Career beginnings Jokela worked in several Finnish theatres before making his impact on films. His first major film role came in a 1954 crime comedy ''Kovanaama'', directed by Aarne Tarkas. During the next ten years, Jokela appeared in almost all Tarkas films, in bigger or smaller parts. The Jussi Awards are Finland's premier film industry prizes, awarded annually to recognize the achievements of directors, actors, and writers. History The first Jussi Awards ceremony was held on 16 November 1944 at the Restaurant Adlon in Helsinki. The award is one of the oldest films awards in Europe. The original planned name for the prize was ''Aino'', but Jussi won in the end. The name comes from a character in the 1924 and 1936 Pohjalaisia films. The awards were originally organized by the ''Elokuvajournalistit'' organization, but the task was transferred in the early 1960s to the ''Filmiaura'' organization, composed of around 300 members working in the Finnish film industry. Because of the controversy surrounding the transfer, no awards were handed out in 1960 and 1961.
