Leigh Park
Leigh Park is a large suburb (population 27,500) of Havant, in Hampshire, England. It currently forms the bulk or whole of four electoral wards: Battins, Bondfields, Barncroft and Warren Park (generally referred to as 'The Warren'). Staunton Country Park lies on the northern edge of Leigh Park, also within the Havant boundary. History Leigh Park existed before becoming a post Second world war housing estate, Early history As early as 1750 mention was made of a farm on the site in a will of that year and local historians consider it likely that a farm existed there around 100 years earlier. Havant ( ) is a town in the south-east corner of Hampshire, England between Portsmouth and Chichester. Rowlands Castle
Rowland's Castle is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.9 miles (4.7 km) north of Havant, on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. The focal point of the village is the village green which is shaped somewhat like a lung. Surrounded by roads it is about long and about wide at its eastern end while tapering to almost a point at the western end near the railway arch. Alan Mak (politician)
Alan Mak (born 19 November 1983) is a British Conservative Party politician who served Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury from July to September 2022. He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Havant in Hampshire in 2015. Early life Mak was born in York to Chinese parents who were born in Guangdong and who settled in Hong Kong before moving to England, where they owned a Chinese food take-away. He attended Queen Anne Comprehensive School, York until the age of 13, before gaining an assisted place to attend St Peter's School, York. He read Law at Peterhouse, Cambridge, winning the ECS Wade Prize for Administrative Law, before completing a post-graduate law & business diploma in Oxford, where he was a runner-up for the Oxford Leadership Prize.
