Legislature Of Río Negro
The Legislature of Río Negro Province ( es, Legislatura de la Provincia de Río Negro) is the unicameral legislative body of Río Negro Province, in Argentina. It convenes in the provincial capital, Viedma. It comprises 46 legislators, 22 of whom are elected in a single province-wide multi-member district, while the remaining 24 are elected in eight three-member districts that divide the province's territory, called "electoral circuits" (''circuitos electorales''). Its powers and responsibilities are established in the provincial constitution. Elections to the legislature take place every four years, when the entirety of its members are renewed. The legislature is presided by the Vice Governor of Río Negro, who is elected alongside the governor every four years. Together We Are Río Negro (; JSRN) is a provincial political party in the Río Negro Province of Argentina. It was formed in 2015 as an electoral coalition to back the candidacy to the governorship of incumbent Alberto Weretilneck; it was later officially registered as a political party. Members of the original coalition formed in 2015 included the provincial chapters of the Broad Front, the Victory Party and the Faith Party, and provincial parties such as the Patagonic People's Movement. It currently holds a majority of seats in the provincial legislature and the incumbent governor, Arabela Carreras, belongs to JSRN. Allen, Río Negro
Allen is a city in the province of Río Negro, Argentina. It has 26,083 inhabitants as per the . It is located on the left-hand (northern) side of the Alto Valle of the Río Negro, near its beginning in the confluence of the Neuquén and Limay rivers, about west of General Roca and east of Neuquén. Allen was founded on 25 May 1910 by Patricio Piñeiro Sorondo. Its name was an homage to British engineer Charles Allen, a local landowner and member of the Gran Ferrocarril Sur railway company, who managed the construction of the city's train station. The city is divided in half by a canal born in the Ingeniero Ballester Dam that brings water for irrigation from the Neuquén River. General Roca, Río Negro
General Roca is a city in the northeast of the Argentine province of Río Negro, northern Patagonia. It was founded on September 1, 1879, by Colonel Lorenzo Vintter, on the order of War Minister Julio A. Roca, during the Conquest of the Desert. The place of the first settlement was known by native mapuche people as Fiske Menuco, which means "deep water". It was destroyed in 1899 by a flooding of the Río Negro, and had to be rebuilt northwest in higher lands. Its present population is approximately 86,000 (according to ), making it the second most populated city in the province after Bariloche, and the second most important in the Alto Valle after Neuquén. Cinco Saltos is a city in the province of Río Negro, Argentina, located on the eastern side of the valley of the Neuquén River, near the Pellegrini Lake, about from northwest of Neuquén and from Allen.
