Robert Legget
Robert Ferguson Legget (September 29, 1904 – April 17, 1994) was a civil engineer, historian and non-fiction writer. He is internationally known for his contributions to engineering, geology and building research and standardization. He is credited with the establishment of co-operation among Canadian geotechnical engineers, geologists and pedologists. Life Legget was born in Liverpool, England, to Donald Thompson Legget and his wife Mary, both of whom were of Scottish descent. He was educated at the Merchant Taylors' Boys' School, Crosby. He studied Civil Engineering and obtained a BEng (Hons) in 1925, and MEng 1927, from the University of Liverpool. He was initially employed as an engineer on the Lochaber Water Power Scheme in Scotland. He then emigrated to Canada in 1929, working for the Power Corporation of Canada. Charles Legget
Charles William Stuart Legget (born 21 January 1988) is a Scottish cricketer. Legget is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium fast pace. He was born in Edinburgh, Midlothian and educated at Merchiston Castle School. While studying for his degree at Durham University, Legget made his first-class debut for Durham UCCE against Durham in 2008. In his only first-class appearance for the university, he was dismissed for 4 runs in the university's first-innings by Graham Onions, with the university being bowled out for 76. In Durham's only innings, he took the wickets of Phil Mustard and Mark Davies for the cost of 43 runs from 10 overs. After University Legget joined forces with fellow Durham student, James Coe, to form a new cricket brand that is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Legett is a town in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Rocky Mount, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 37 in the 2020 Census. History Cedar Lane, Mount Prospect, and William and Susan Savage House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Geography Leggett is located at (35.992112, -77.579922). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 77 people, 29 households, and 22 families residing in the town. The population density was 110.8 people per square mile (42.5/km2).
