Legendary Years
''Legendary Years'' is the second compilation album by Italian symphonic power metal band Rhapsody of Fire. It consists of re-recorded songs from '' The Emerald Sword Saga'', a five concept albums-long story started in their first album '' Legendary Tales'' in 1997 and concluded in ''Power of the Dragonflame'' in 2002. It is their first work with singer Giacomo Voli and drummer Manu Lotter, replacing longtime members Fabio Lione and Alex Holzwarth respectively. It also mark the band's first album (and first record since 1995) not to feature Lione, and the first without Holzwarth since their 1998 studio album ''Symphony of Enchanted Lands''. Re-recording (music)
A re-recording is a recording produced following a new performance of a work of music. This is most commonly, but not exclusively, by a popular artist or group. It differs from a reissue, which involves a second or subsequent release of a previously-recorded piece of music. Re-recordings are often produced decades after the original recordings were released, usually under contract terms more favorable to the artists. This is especially common among acts who originally agreed to contracts that would be considered unfair and exploitative today. When re-recordings are issued under newer contracts, artists can collect far higher royalties for use in films, commercials, and movie trailers. Other acts re-record their work for artistic reasons. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). ''Rain of a Thousand Flames'' is the fourth studio album by Italian symphonic power metal band Rhapsody, released in 2001. It tells a part of The Emerald Sword Saga, but it is a parallel episode that is not essential to the story, taking place shortly after '' Dawn of Victory''. While the Warrior of Ice is away, Akron uses the newly acquired Emerald Sword to ravage the land. The album was released at a reduced price and is considered a stop gap between the band's main releases.
