Lega Toscana (2011)
Lega Toscana ("Tuscany League", LT) is a regionalist political party in Italy active in Tuscany. The party was formed in January 2011 as Lega per la Toscana ("League for Tuscany") by a group of splinters from Lega Nord Toscana (LNT) led by Emilio Paradiso, a former president of the party, and Federico Tosoni, both based in Prato. They opposed Lega Nord's return to separatism, while they were strong proponents of federalism. As well as other splinters who had earlier formed Tuscan Identity, Paradiso and Tosoni had been rivals of Claudio Morganti, former leader of LNT and MEP. In January 2012 the party was joined by a group of LNT splinters from the province of Lucca led by Franco Paiuzza. In the 2015 regional election a joint list of the League for Tuscany and More Tuscany won 0.6% of the vote. In the local elections of 2019, Emilio Paradiso ran for mayor of Prato. Eventually, Paradiso and his party scored just 1.3% of the votes and failed the election to the municipal ...

Lega Per Salvini Premier
Lega ( en, League), whose official name is Lega per Salvini Premier ( en, League for Salvini Premier; abbr. LSP or LpSP), is a right-wing populist political party in Italy, led by Matteo Salvini. The LSP is the informal successor of Lega Nord ( en, Northern League, LN) and, while sharing the latter's heartland in northern Italy, it is active all around the country. The LSP was founded in December 2017 as the sister party of the LN and as a replacement of Us with Salvini (NcS), the LN's previous affiliate in central and southern Italy. The early LSP aimed at offering LN's values and policies to the rest of the country. Some political commentators described it as a parallel party of the LN, with the aim of politically replacing it, also because of its statutory debt of €49 million. Since January 2020 the LN has become mostly inactive, being supplanted by the LSP. It came third in the 2018 general election and first in the 2019 European Parliament election. Like the LN, the ...

More Tuscany (''Più Toscana'', PT) is a regionalist political party in Italy active in Tuscany, Italy. The party was formed in October 2012 by a group of splinters from Lega Nord Toscana (LNT) led by Antonio Gambetta Vianna, a former president of the party, and Gian Luca Lazzeri, who were supporters of Claudio Morganti, former leader of LNT and MEP. PT, which is defined by its members as a research institute, promotes the knowledge, appreciation and advancement of the "Tuscan people", its culture, heritage and traditions. Member Of The European Parliament
A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament. When the European Parliament (then known as the Common Assembly of the ECSC) first met in 1952, its members were directly appointed by the governments of member states from among those already sitting in their own national parliaments. Since 1979, however, MEPs have been elected by direct universal suffrage. Earlier European organizations that were a precursor to the European Union did not have MEPs. Each member state establishes its own method for electing MEPs – and in some states this has changed over time – but the system chosen must be a form of proportional representation. Some member states elect their MEPs to represent a single national constituency; other states apportion seats to sub-national regions for election. They are sometimes referred to as delegates. They may also be known as observers when a new country is seekin ...

Federalism
Federalism is a combined or compound mode of government that combines a general government (the central or "federal" government) with regional governments (Province, provincial, State (sub-national), state, Canton (administrative division), cantonal, territorial, or other sub-unit governments) in a single political system, dividing the powers between the two. Federalism in the modern era was first adopted in the unions of states during the Old Swiss Confederacy. Federalism differs from Confederation, confederalism, in which the general level of government is subordinate to the regional level, and from devolution within a unitary state, in which the regional level of government is subordinate to the general level. It represents the central form in the pathway of regional integration or separation, bounded on the less integrated side by confederalism and on the more integrated side by devolution within a unitary state. Examples of a federation or federal province or state include ...
