Left Handed Johnny West
''Left Handed Johnny West'' ( it, Johnny West il mancino, also known just as ''Johnny West'') is a 1965 Italian Spaghetti Western film directed by Gianfranco Parolini. Plot Johnny West is a half-breed and a dreaded shooter. In the village where he comes, two brothers spread fear and terror with a group of unscrupulous men. So they have a goldmine owner in their power and try to become heir of his assets. Even with Johnny West they are doing a bad game, so that he is put in jail instead of them for bank robbery. However, he can break out and decimate the bandits with the help of two dealers. Then he captures the two brothers, shoots them and returns the stolen money to the owners. He then rides on new adventures. Gianfranco Parolini (20 February 1925 in Rome, Italy – 26 April 2018 in Rome, Italy) was an Italian film director. He is often credited as Frank Kramer. Among his films are ''The Sabata Trilogy'', several sword and sandal films, most of the Kommissar X films and a number of Spaghetti Westerns. He claimed to have written over 100 thriller novels before becoming an assistant to Giuseppe D'Amato. Roberto Camardiel Escudero (29 November 1917, in Alagón, Zaragoza – 15 June 1989, in Zaragoza) was a Spanish theatre director and actor. He appeared in ''Culpables'' and ''Bajo el cielo andaluz'' (1960), both directed by Arturo Ruiz-Castillo and starring Marifé de Triana. In 1964 he got the Premio Nacional a la Mejor Interpretación Principal Masculina for his roles in ''Isidro Labrador'', directed by Rafael J. Salvia, and ''Piedra de toque'', directed by Julio Buchs, delivered by the minister D. José Solís Ruiz. The Spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's film-making style and international box-office success. The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. Domenico "Mimmo" Palmara (25 July 1928 – 10 June 2016) was an Italian actor. Biography Born in Cagliari, Palmara made his film debut in 1952 as a character actor in drama films by eminent directors such as Luchino Visconti, Mario Monicelli and Antonio Pietrangeli, then obtained main roles in a great number of genre films, especially adventure films and peplum films. When the sword and sandals genre declined, he took part at a number of Spaghetti Westerns in which he is usually credited as Dick Palmer.
