Lefa Tsutsulupa (born 7 February 1980) is a South African former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He played internationally for South Africa. Career Born in Ladybrand, Lefa began playing professional football with Bloemfontein Celtic at age 19. After the club was relegated to the First Division, he played for another two seasons before a brief spell with Jomo Cosmos before reviving his career with Moroka Swallows. He made over 300 appearances in the Premier Soccer League, most of them with Moroka Swallows. He captained for club for five seasons and won the 2008–09 Nedbank Cup Nedbank Cup is a South African club football (soccer) tournament. Ladybrand
Ladybrand is a small agricultural town in the Free State (South African province), Free State province of South Africa, situated 18 km from Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. Ladybrand is one of five towns that forms the Mantsopa Local Municipality. Founded in 1867 following the Basotho Wars, it was named after Lady (Catharina) Brand, the wife of the president of the Orange Free State, Johannes Brand. The settlement of Ladybrand was created by Voortrekkers to give them control over the territories conquered and captured after the above-mentioned Basotho war. Nedbank Cup is a South African club football (soccer) tournament. The knockout tournament, based on the English FA Cup format, carries a 'David versus Goliath' theme. The competition was sponsored by ABSA until 2007, after which Nedbank took over sponsorship. Format The 16 Premier Soccer League clubs, 8 National First Division teams, as well as 8 teams from the amateur ranks compete for the prize money of R6 million. The winner also qualifies for the CAF Confederation Cup. The teams are not seeded at any stage, and the first 16 sides drawn out of the hat receive a home-ground advantage.
