Bill Leen
Bill Leen (born March 1, 1962) is an American musician from Tempe, Arizona. He is the bass player of the band Gin Blossoms, which he co-founded in 1987 with his longtime friend Doug Hopkins. Leen graduated from McClintock High School in Tempe, then studied English and philosophy at Arizona State University, leaving during his junior year to devote his energy to music. He and Doug Hopkins played in a variety of local Tempe bands during the early 1980s, including The Moral Majority and The Psalms before moving to Portland, Oregon and forming The 10 o'Clock Scholars. His first taste of musical notoriety occurred while playing with the Psalms. Nina Leen (born 1914, died January 1, 1995) was an American photographer born in the Russian Empire. She was a constant contributor to ''Life''. She is remembered above all for her photographs of animals, many published in book form, as well as her portraits. Biography Born in Russia (probably between 1909 and 1914 although she kept her age a secret), Leen studied painting in Berlin. Randy Leen (born December 22, 1975) is a retired American professional golfer. High school career Leen was born in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio. College career Leen was a three time All-American and three time Big Ten Conference player of the year for the Indiana Hoosiers. Amateur career Leen was the low amateur at the 1996 U.S. Open (golf), 1996 U.S. Open, beating out Tiger Woods by three shots. He played on the 1997 Walker Cup team. Professional career Leen turned professional in 1998. He played on the Buy.com Tour in 2000. After many years on the mini-tours, he played on the Nationwide Tour in 2008 Nationwide Tour, 2008, but did not earn enough money to keep his card.
